You can never be too cautious: that’s what must have gone through a nurse’s mind when she called an Ambridge High School student to confirm a doctor’s appointment and she misheard the lyrics to the popular “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” theme song.

The TV series, starring Will Smith, was incredibly popular when it aired originally and it’s still popular today, proof of which is the fact that the student in question used it for his voice mail.

However, the nurse calling for the confirmation misheard “shooting some b-ball outside of school” for “shooting some people outside of school,” so she immediately called 911, WPXI reports.

The result was that police placed all schools across Beaver County on lockdown until they traced down the student, holding him in custody for 3 hours until the misunderstanding was cleared.

“He was afraid and embarrassed. Obviously staff at the doctor's office was embarrassed about the whole thing too,” Ambridge police Officer Mike Natale says for WPXI.
