Microsoft has just released a new version of the popular Fresh Paint app for Windows 8, as the company is trying to improve app performance and stability on each build of the new OS.

Fresh Paint is one of the apps that will receive major improvements in the next Windows release dubbed Blue, including new features that would try to make the most of the touch-support and the Metro UI.

This new release, on the other hand, includes several bug fixes, most of which are supposed to help Fresh Paint load a bit faster and be more responsive on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

Windows Blue is expected to hit the market next month in preview form, so expect another major release of Fresh Paint to go live shortly after that.
