Feast your eyes on the freshest high-quality leaked screenshots and video of Windows 7 Milestone 1! Windows 7 is of course the next edition of Windows, designed as a successor of Windows Vista. And since Vista was no. 6, and under Steven Sinofsky, Senior Vice President, Windows and Windows Live Engineering Group, Microsoft is no longer referencing software under development by codenames, but by product numbers, the next iteration of the operating system naturally became Windows 7. At this point in time, Microsoft is also making headway with the building of the platform's early stages.

Outside of the confirmation that the next Windows platform will hit in a three-year timeframe from Vista, a public demonstration of the MinWin kernel and the confirmation that the operating system will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors, Microsoft will not touch the Windows 7 subject with a ten foot pole. The Redmond company is in fact completely ignoring Windows 7, even though it is obvious by now that Windows 7 Ultimate edition version 6.1 (Build 6519.1.x86fre.winmain.071220-1525) ISO 6519.1.071220-1525 is as real as it gets.

In this context, ThinkNext has been continually leaking details, screenshots and videos of Windows 7. And the content included with this article is just the latest materials made available. It seems that they were provided in an effort to convince the world that Windows 7 M1 indeed leaked outside of the closed circle formed by Microsoft, and the company's key partners. Windows 7 M1 was supposed to be an under-the-counter private release, and all of a sudden it is in the public eye, drawing the focus away from Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

According to ThinkNext, the screenshots illustrate: "all items in control panel, now you can see which ones are newly added in Win7 Milestone 1. Right click on the desktop. Here we get several new ones: Hide/Add Gadgets and a new Display command. The [new] sidebar, yes the last one is the new Media Center gadget. Click 'Add Gadget' from Explorer or Sidebar, we get a Gadgets folder, by default. Yes, every non-release version Windows is shipped with a feedback tool. Internet Explorer 7: minor version changes. Seldom do I use Windows Mail but I think the version number can be viewed as an indication (for some guys). [And last but not least a new video featuring] the sizeable search box and pin-able start menu items."
