Batman: Arkham Knight has just received a brand-new gameplay video captured on the PS4 platform, this time continuing the events seen in the past Officer Down trailer. It depicts an interesting confrontation with Poison Ivy, as well as a pretty intense battle with the Batmobile against a squad of tanks.

Batman: Arkham Knight launches next month all around the world and developer Rocksteady has shared quite a lot of interesting, details, screenshots, and videos in recent times, in order to promote the open world action adventure experience.

A brand-new video showcases more PS4 gameplay

After seeing quite a few recent gameplay sequences and dev diary videos, an all-new batch of footage is available, called Time To Go To War.

The video continues from where the Officer Down trailer left off, with Batman going after Scarecrow in Gotham City. He eventually clears out a whole room of bad guys to rescue Poison Ivy, and after a pretty interesting change of words with the seductive villain, the Caped Crusader starts driving around in the new Batmobile.

Unfortunately for him, this is also the time when the new Arkham Knight villain sends in his battalions of tanks in Gotham City, taking over the streets.

The video also depicts an intense confrontation between the Batmobile in attack mode and the different tanks, highlighting the enhanced mobility, the powerful weapons, and the ways Batman can take out tanks using his own vehicle.

Arkham Knight is accessible to newcomers

Developer Rocksteady confirms that, while gameplay in Arkham Knight will feel great for veterans who went through past titles, there will be a tutorial system designed to ease into the experience newcomers.

"The reality of the third installment of a trilogy is that you're building on pre-existing systems and pre-existing narrative," Rocksteady's Dax Ginn tells Polygon. "We combat that by tutorial-ing everything so that if you've never played an Arkham game before, you've got everything you need to learn how to succeed in combat, how to drive the Batmobile, how to grapple and glide, how to get on with the various gadgets that Batman has."

Check out the new video and a few fresh screenshots below. Look forward to Arkham Knight's debut on June 23, worldwide on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
