Some fresh details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed III title from Ubisoft have just appeared, this time detailing the full-fledged season cycle that affects the actual gameplay and one of the two major cities in the game, Boston.

Assassin’s Creed III is set to offer a completely new experience as opposed to its predecessors, bringing a new protagonist and a new historical setting, in the form of Connor and the American Revolution, respectively.

We’ve already heard quite a lot of details about the game, as well as admired some screenshots and a video with the new action adventure game.

Now, Game Informer magazine offers some more pieces of information about it, including the first actual details on Boston, one of the two major cities in Assassin’s Creed III.

The magazine says that Connor, the half Native America and half English protagonist, will witness and potentially influence such historical events like the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, and a variety of other conflicts between the British imperial forces and the American colonists.

Boston will be a sprawling location with a variety of tall buildings, churches and other such things on which Connor can practice his free-running skills, as well as perform the trademark Assassin’s Creed leaps of faith.

The second city is thought to be New York, although it’s not yet official at this point in time.

The new game will have a full-fledged seasonal cycle, according to the magazine, which impacts the behavior of the enemies and Connor’s navigation skills. There’s no word yet on how exactly enemies behave in winter or summer, but frozen lakes will help Connor in his travels.

Players will control the new protagonist throughout different periods in his life, from his younger days with the Mohawk tribe, to the times he meets historical figures like Benjamin Franklin or George Washington.

Expect to hear some more details about Assassin’s Creed III in the near future, as Ubisoft will no doubt present fresh pieces of information until its release at the end of October on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U.
