Why not relax a bit playing one of the most popular classics? Although the full version of 3D Sokoban boasts 50 different levels and four different themes, a free version of the game, featuring less of each, is available here on Softpedia. The free version never expires, so you can hold on to it for as long as you want.

The popular block-pushing puzzle game known as Sokoban is now available in 3D, meaning not from a top-down (2D) perspective like Bomberman or the Caveman mobile games. The object of the game is to move around the boxes in an anticipating manner (some levels require you to visualize three or four moves ahead of your current position), so you can put them all in the designated spots in order to complete the level. Whatever you do, don't push any boxes into the corners of the room. Your character is not able to blast through walls, or use special gear to drag boxes out of a spot. Boxes can only be pushed.

Some of the preference options include enabling or disabling the sounds, and more. The settings are saved, so when you run the game next time, everything is just the way you left it. For Sokoban fanatics, Silver Software also has a 3D Sokoban Customizer that enables them to create their own levels. Currently at version 3.0, Sokoban 3D for Mac includes the following enhancements. - No map window. Two game modes instead - Play level and Observe level; - Adjustable camera speed for game mode switch; - Adjustable zoom (camera position) for Observe level mode; - Updated textures; - Unlimited undo and redo; - Improved Level Collection window (level captions, current level is highlighted); - Menu item for online software update; - No duplication of "Quit" and "Preferences" menu items in MacOS X; - Help menu.

Even Mac OS 9 with OpenGL 1.2.1 users can run Sokoban 3D. Naturally, Mac OS X is also supported. The free (demo) version of Sokoban 3D can be downloaded here. Enjoy!
