14 DAY TRIAL // Some new screenshots of the upcoming PlayStation Vita game Freedom Wars were just made public by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia.
The screen caps, albeit on the small side, illustrate in-game battle scenes that speak volumes regarding the visual capabilities of the upcoming title. The gallery is available at the end of the article.
The game is set in a distant future when the surface of the Earth is no longer able to support life, and consequently all the remainder of humanity live in underground cities, struggling for survival.
This harsh world is choked by overpopulation, and as such drastic punishments are imposed on the guilty and innocent alike, with convicts being forced to battle giant monsters in order to reduce their prison sentence.
The Sony Japan Studios are currently at work developing the PlayStation Vita exclusive action role-playing game Freedom Wars, to be released in Japan some time during 2014.
