Freedom Fighters is a video game that was developed by IO Interactive A/S and was published Electronic Arts.

The game was launched on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony, the original Xbox from Microsoft, the Game Cube and the Windows powered PC.

It arrived during the month of November 2003.

The game can be classed as an action title that is played from a third-person perspective and includes elements taken from cyberpunk, science fiction, post apocalypse, shooter and arcade genre.

The game is built upon the premise that the Soviet Union was successful in invading New York City and is now establishing control.

The main hero is Chris Stone who begins to fight the Russians because his own brother is picked up and accused of being a terrorist.
