FreeNAS, a free implementation of a minimal FreeBSD distribution, has just reached version 8.2.0 Beta 1.
FreeNAS 8.2.0 Beta 1 has introduced a large number of functional changes in comparison with the 8.0.x branch.
Highlights of FreeNAS 8.2.0 Beta 1:
· ZFS can now be manipulated from the CLI; · The GUI has support for multipath capable hardware; · Plugins are now available; · A webshell is now available for the GUI; · The Volume button is gone and renamed to Volume Manager; · ZFS pools can now have period scrub tasks configured; · A new dojo version is used; · The responsive service state detections was improved.
