It has little changes from the previous Beta version

FreeNAS, a free implementation of a minimal FreeBSD distribution, has just reached version 8.0.4 RC1, bringing a few changes.

FreeNAS 8.0.4 RC1 has increased in size since the previous beta and the new version requires 2GB storage space. Users can upgrade from Beta 3 or Beta 4, but for earlier versions it has to be done from the CD.

FreeBSD can be really touchy with hardware. Please be sure to update your BIOS/BMC firmware when upgrading / installing FreeNAS 8.0.4 RC1 if you run into OS hang issues.

Users could experience some performance degradation after upgrading from prior versions of FreeNAS to 8.0.4 RC. If that's the case, just turn off AIO or tune the AIO size from '1' to something more reasonable, such as 4096 or 4kB.

Download FreeNAS 8.0.4 RC1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
