iOS developer netomat, Inc. has this nice app on offer which does a pretty cool thing: it spotlights specific areas of your video and lets you apply effects.

Spotliter Video allows you to tap, slide, or pinch your fingers on the screen during a recording session to “spotlite” specific areas of your video. You can also apply effects and switch between the front and back cameras during the shooting session without having to stop recording.

Users have the option to pause, adjust, and restart recording at any time, to create a cool mashup. netomat offers an example of how you can use the app to capture something great.

“For example, select Freeze and tap on a taxicab driving across your screen. See the taxi freeze in place while the rest of the video keeps moving. Select Magnify and magnify just your friend’s face singing in a recital while the rest of the group appears at normal zoom.”

Download Spotliter Video for iOS 6.1 (or newer) on iPhone or iPod touch. Tablets are supported, but not natively.
