Nevada’s Clark County School District and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt have teamed up to conduct a pilot study and see just how much of an improvement can the iPad bring, along with apps like HMH Fuse: Algebra 1.

With ages ranging from eighth, ninth and tenth grades, Algebra 1 students at Silvestri Junior High, Leavitt Middle School, Silverado High School, and the Academy for Individualized Study will take rigorous math and science courses.

These students will serve as the single greatest predictors of high school and college success, as they are “a key population within the district at a critical time in their K-12 education,” said Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
