The first free copies of Windows 7 and Office 2010 have already been handed out to participants to the initial stop on the Springboard Series Tour in Europe. At the start of this week, the Springboard Series Tour visited Amsterdam, Netherlands, and moved on to today’s event in Stockholm, Sweden.

The next two events in Helsinki, Finland on Friday, 29 October and in Reading, UK Monday, on 1 November have already been sold out, so there’s no chance for additional users to register.

Still, IT professionals in Italy and in Austria can still sign up and attend events in Rome on the 3rd of November and in Vienna on the 4th of November.

Registration is still opened through the Springboard Series Tour website, and remember, Microsoft is offering free Windows 7 and Office 2010 licenses to the first 150 participants.

The software giant revealed that the first 150 registered attendees that attend each event will walk away with a certificate enabling them to download a free RTM copy of Office 2010 Professional.

And there’s more. Microsoft will also be handing out 16GB USB keys with a copy of the Proof Of Concept kit to all attendees.

The PoC is essentially a virtual hard disk and contains trial versions of Windows 7 Enterprise, Server 2008, Office 2010 and additional tools such as MAP, MDT, ACT, and OEAT.

“The Springboard Series tour kicked off [on October 25th] to a packed house of IT pros yesterday. We spent the whole day talking about Windows7, Office 2010 and MDOP tips, tricks ,how-to’s around deployment, management, app compat and virtualization,” revealed Microsoft’s Stephen L Rose.

“Check out the video to hear what the attendees had to say and watch for our next report from Stockholm, Sweden [on October 27th].”
