In many situations, the content presented by websites is available only in a single language. If you have a blog or a news website with valuable content that you want to be understood by foreign visitors, you can use online translation tools. They can be free or not.

Another option would be to provide a manual

translation of your website by making it available in multiple languages, but you will have to choose a professional translation service which is not free.

The commonly used automatic translation tools are available from Google, AltaVista and WorldLingo. The translation tools will allow foreign readers to obtain translation of a page from English to various other languages (French, German, Italian, Korean and more) and the other way round.

You can insert a certain HTML code in your webpages in order to provide a direct link to the translated web page. As an alternative you can display a direct link to the automatic translation tool. This form of direct implementation of translation tools will be more efficient, because users will have access to specific options for customizing the translated web page output. The accuracy of the automatic translation tools is not quite perfect, but enough to permit the reader to understand the basic meaning of the web site content.

In order to increase the translation accuracy, your content must be formed mainly by a HTML text that contains common words and phrases. The best results will be obtained with short phrases containing up to 30 words, idioms and slang excluded. The content must be clearly formulated, with no spelling or grammar mistakes. The content of your website will be more accessible when presented in multiple languages. By providing an automatic web page translation option for your website you will become more popular and the site traffic will be increased.
