14 DAY TRIAL // Electronic Arts, in a rather interesting gesture, is now allowing all Origin users to get a free copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for free by redeeming a special code until July 31.
EA and Maxis are getting ready to debut The Sims 4 this September, and this means that the two companies can no longer support The Sims 2 and will be slowly winding down the support for The Sims 3 in the future.
However, in order to reward loyal fans, the two companies are allowing all Origin users on PC to redeem a copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for free until the end of the month.
All they have to do, according to the official website, is log into the Origin application, find the Games tab, and then click on the "Redeem Product Code" button.
In the new window, simply input the following code, without the quotation marks: "I-LOVE-THE-SIMS" and then click on Next.
The game should automatically be added for free to your games library. Alternatively, you can do this by logging into the online store and redeeming it from there.
The title can only be downloaded, however, via the Origin desktop application.
Bear in mind that the code is available for redemption until July 31, 2014, at 10am PDT.
