The free titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection in September have just been revealed and they include Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends for PS4, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Hoard for PS3, as well as Joe Danger and TxK for PS Vita.

The PlayStation Plus service has been one of the best deals in gaming for quite some time, with Sony offering quite a lot of free games, not to mention access to exclusive discounts and other such things to its subscribers.

The upcoming September update for the PS Plus Instant Game Collection has just been revealed by the company via PS blog, and it's quite a doozy, bringing quite a few titles that are available on multiple platforms via the Cross-Buy system.

This month, there's the same lineup for both European and North American subscribers, so don't worry about one territory getting a better deal than the other.

First up, PS4 owners can play Velocity 2X and Sportsfriends for free on their new home console.

Velocity 2X is a sequel to the classic Velocity Ultra, bringing an overhauled puzzle platforming experience that's combined with shooting and the tricky yet fun Quarp Drive teleport system. The game will be available for free on the PS4 and on the PS Vita.

Sportsfriends is the second free PS4 game of the month, delivering a collection of impressive local multiplayer mini-games that are perfect to enjoy in the living room with friends and families. The collection includes BaraBariBall, a retro-styled fighting game, Super Pole Riders, which delivers a tricky pole vault dueling experience, Hokra, a high velocity sports title, and Johann Sebastian Joust, which makes things physical via its jousting system.

PS3 owners will be treated to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, the pretty impressive fighting game that rounds up some of the most well-known characters from Sony's many franchises, like God of War's Kratos, Uncharted's Nathan Drake, or LittleBigPlanet's SackBoy, as well as some other famous characters, like BioShock's Big Daddy or Devil May Cry's Dante.

They can also enjoy Hoard, a fast-paced action strategy title that puts players in the scales of a dragon. The goal is simple: hoard as much gold as possible while wreaking havoc in a medieval kingdom.

PS Vita users can enjoy Joe Danger on their handheld platform, with the delightful side-scrolling racing game making a stellar appearance on the small device. What's more, TxK, the indie arcade shooter, should also make the PS Vita's gorgeous screen fill up with all sorts of trippy colors during its gameplay.

All the aforementioned games will be available as free downloads starting September 2, in North America, and September 3, in Europe, via the PS Store's PS Plus section.

Check out a video of all the titles below and a set of screenshots from each of them.
