Free Sandbox Hosting for ASP.NET 4 RC and Visual Studio 2010 RC

The Release Candidate development milestone of Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 offers an excellent change for developers to try out the successors of VS 2008 and .NET 3.5, just ahead of RTM. Testing the next generation Microsoft developer platform and tools involves more than just the desktop, and there are offerings available to also let devs try out the solutions into the Cloud. Discount ASP.NET is offering just such a special deal, having announced free sandbox hosting for ASP.NET 4 RC and Visual Studio 2010 RC.

A Windows Server 2008 hosting company, Discount ASP.NET has partnered with Microsoft in order to boost their ASP.NET 4 hosting sandbox with support for.NET Framework 4 RC. At the same time, the hosting provider will be offering free hosting sandbox until mid-April 2010 for developers that leverage Visual Studio 2010 RC and .NET Framework 4 RC.

“With the release of the new RC versions of .NET 4 and Visual Studio 2010, we wanted to make sure developers get early experience with the newest update and have the opportunity to provide Microsoft with feedback on their experience,” noted Takeshi Eto, VP Marketing and Business Development at DiscountASP.NET. “The official launch of ASP.NET 4 and Visual Studio 2010 is coming soon and we hope that the beta program will help the developer community get a jump start with ASP.NET 4.”

Developers that will leverage free sandbox hosting for ASP.NET 4 RC and Visual Studio 2010 RC from Discount ASP.NET, will be able to do so until April 16, 2010. All .NET 4 beta hosting account will offer testers 50 MB of disk space and 50 MB of SQL Server 2008 database space. “The free sandbox hosting program is a limited program offered as an open beta for developers on a first come first serve basis,” Discount ASP.NET stated.
