Rayman Legends Challenges, the special standalone experience that'll be exclusive for the Wii U, is set to appear for free on April 25, allowing fans to compete on four levels against their friends.

Rayman Legends was supposed to be a Wii U exclusive game but Ubisoft made the decision to bring the title to other consoles like the PS3 or Xbox 360, and subsequently delayed the Wii U version in order to appear alongside the other editions.

Since then, Ubisoft promised a special mode for Wii U owners and now Nintendo, via VG247, has confirmed that the Rayman Legends Challenges mode is going to be released for free on April 25, only for the Wii U.

The experience tasks players with completing four levels and even race against their friends' ghost data.

Different daily and weekly challenges will also be organized, so Wii U owners have plenty of things to do until the official release of Rayman Legends later this year.
