Create MP3 using a simple text

If you ever tried one of the numerous text to speech software technologies, you should know that some of them provide very low quality while others are difficult to use and require numerous hardware resources. That's why you can use VozMe, a free online text to MP3 converter which allows you to create audio files using your own text. The quality of the audio files is pretty good but keep in mind that it's only a web technology and not an offline downloadable product. The service is still in beta so we might see some quality improvements and who knows, maybe some new features soon.

The compression is also pretty good as a simple text line takes approximately 20 KB but I didn't try to create larger files using more text.

But what's more attractive is that you can easily download the MP3 files you create in a matter of seconds. All you need to do is to create your MP3 file and then hit the "Download MP3" link displayed in a pop-up window.

And now the juicy part: you can easily use vozMe to add voice to your website and allow visitors to listen to the text you write. This is pretty useful especially for the bloggers who want to customize their webpage and offer a different perspective to their articles.

At this time, there are numerous software solutions which provide almost the same features but what would you choose? A downloadable program which must be installed on your computer using your hardware resources or a web-based product which can be used straight from your browser and all it needs is an Internet connection? I bet you would choose the second one as many other users prefer to access the web-based technologies instead of losing time downloading applications and installing them on personal computers.
