14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is offering a range of free resources along with trial downloads of the latest iteration of its Office productivity suite. It is the case of the classroom posters put together for Office 2010 and the product’s components. Of course, as of June 15th, 2010, Office 2010 is available for purchase worldwide, both online and in traditional retail stores.
Schools interested in adopting Office 2010, can also grab no less than seven free posters from Microsoft, to display in classrooms. Microsoft Education teams in countries around the world can send the posters via snail mail to schools, provided that they are contacted to do so. In addition, the resources are also available for download, although not from an official Microsoft site.
“We’ve just had the new Office 2010 posters delivered, to replenish our stock of Office 2007 posters that had dwindled to zero in the last few weeks. The last set had four different posters, whereas this time we’ve got seven free classroom posters,” Microsoft’s Ray Fleming revealed.
Fleming shared PDF versions of the posters via SkyDrive. The downloads offered posters for “Office 2010 – an overview of the whole suite; Word 2010; Excel 2010; PowerPoint 2010; OneNote 2010; Outlook 2010 and SharePoint Workspace 2010,” Fleming stated.
Following the GA of Office 2010, Microsoft also started serving the RTM bits in three trial releases. Users can download time-bombed variants of Office 2010 and test-drive the productivity suite before they decide on a purchase. All the trial downloads of Office 2010 allow customers to run the product for 60 days, free of charge.
“If you’re reading this from outside of the UK, then I’m afraid I can’t post out the tubes – they’re big and heavy. However, you can still download the digital versions above, and you may be able to get alternatives from the Microsoft team in your own country,” Fleming added.
