14 DAY TRIAL // Independent studio Vlambeer confirms that all owners of its Nuclear Throne title on Steam's Early Access section will receive a free copy of the game that can be gifted to a friend on January 1, 2015.
Dutch developer Vlambeer has already offered some pretty stellar indie experiences in the last year, starting with Ridiculous Fishing on mobile platforms and continuing with Luftrausers across many devices, from PC to consoles and more.
During this time, the small studio has also been making progress on Nuclear Throne, a project that's been available via the Steam Early Access service for some time now.
One free copy of Nuclear Throne is coming to all owners of the game
In order to expand the testing base and reward fans who have bought the title even if it's not yet ready for an actual release, Vlambeer confirms through a recent video that all existing owners will get a free copy of the game.
"We need new players, people that are great players, that would love Nuclear Throne, and we need them to be part of our community. We're sure you know somebody like that, and if you do, we want to ask you to invite them to the Nuclear Throne community," the studio explains.
Get the game until January 1 to take advantage of the offer
More specifically, if you own the game or get it until January 1, 2015, you'll find in your Steam inventory on January 1 a free copy of the game that can be offered as a gift to a friend.
"So as a token of appreciation for your continued support, and as a way to grow the community for valuable feedback, we want to give every owner of Nuclear Throne by the end of the year (CET) a free, giftable copy of the game on January 1."
The studio explains that there will be a few terms and conditions applied to the promotion due to the logistics involved in the actual offer, but everything will be explained probably tomorrow, December 31.
