Those living in UK will be happy to find that Vodafone UK operator is now offering the Nokia C6 smartphone for free on pay monthly plans from £20. The offer is available starting this week for all Vodafone subscribers.

The minimum £20 contract offers customers 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of mobile Internet every month, but the carrier also offers more expensive plans for those interested.

The new deal seems very interesting, but it will will tie you to a 2-year contract.

Nokia C6 was officially released on the market in July 2010 and is running Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5. The smartphone sports a full QWERTY keyboard and is powered by an ARM 11 434 MHz processor.

The slider comes with a 3.2-inches TFT touch screen display (360 x 640 pixels resolution) with 16 Million colors support, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, and accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate.

It boasts a 5.0-megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, and video recording capabilities (VGA@30fps).

Other key features of the smartphone include: HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, GPRS/EDGE Class 32, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, 240 MB internal memory, microSD slot card for memory expansion (up to 16 GB, 2 GB included), Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

In terms of software the phone packs Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Flash Lite v3.1 and a wide range of instant messaging apps (Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger).

Those that are already convinced by the smartphone's features and wish to get one, can choose one of the five available plans: £20, £25, £30, £35, and £55.

This might be a good deal after all, until Nokia's N8 device will be available in the UK.
