McAfee spoiled my system after one year when I installed AVG on top of it.
McAfee + AVG = Worst. Have any one.

i have been told that you should always run only ONE virus scan at a time...when you run 2 programs they "fight" each other and maybe that is why you had some issues....just a thought

well, you'll surely have problems with your system with more than one antivirus installed. They'll conflict with each other. What were you thinking putting together mcafee and avg anyway?

i ma just being curious and would appreciate some opinions...years ago i was told by a few people that the "free" McAfee scanner was crap...i have Comcast High Speed Internet and Comcast does offer the "free" scan. was wondering if anyone had any additional thoughts...i have always run AVG...but i run an older computer with Windows 2000 and the AVG is no longer supported...and i think i need to run some kind of virus scan but am very limited in the $$$....
