1-year license for everyone

A 1-year subscription of McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008 is worth approximately $40 for a single machine, and up to $60 for three computers. But at the same time, McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008 is available as a free download. The special offer can be accessed via Natwest, via the banner that advertises Free PC Security offering visitors the possibility to protect their machines for a total of 12 months with McAfee VirusScan Plus. What users are essentially offered is a free one-year worth of subscription to McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008, and the license can be grabbed with no restrictions (via Raymond).

All you have to do is click the "Free PC Security Protect your PC for 12 months with McAfee VirusScan Plus" banner on Natwest. You will have to register in order to get your free copy of the security solution. You'll just need an email address and a new account will be up and running in no time, as soon as you agree to the terms imposed.

The accounts page will feature a one-year license for McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008 that you can download via the button on the right. Clicking Download/Install will get you an executable labeled DMSetup.exe. After you install DMSetup.exe, McAfee's download manager will log in into your account and permit access to McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008. The antivirus is about 38MB.
