A brief piece of news for those in the Scandinavian area and in the Reason and Logic area as well: March 1st and 2nd will be days of high interest at the Scandinavian Music Convention (SMC) to be held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm at Munchensbryggeriet.

Not only is the SMC the northern Europe's largest "dance music" event but it is also one of the greatest dance-oriented such manifestations available. This year's edition, the 4th so far (wish you many more, bigger and bigger) is most likely to have the best coverage on the dance music industry, be that the technology which actually makes the music, people producing and using this technology and last, but definitely not least, the dance music itself.

Since the dance music is "traditional" for night-time and clubs, the SMC will offer serious and great club nights besides the usual daytime activities like seminars, workshops, the so sought-after expo as well as interviews and debates.

Propellerhead Software will partake along with Apple and both companies will provide diverse showcases targeted on how to make music with help coming from Reason and Logic DAWs extending until March 3rd. Please note that these daytime activities are all free and courtesy of Apple and Propellerhead and the schedules are as following:

Schedule for Thursday, March 2nd -13:30 Logic Pro 7 Music Production and Software Instruments Spokesman: Marek Andreasson / Apple - 14:30 Reason and Logic Spokesman: Kristoffer Wallman / Propellerhead Software - 16:00 FX and Mixing Spokesman: Erik Metall / KMH Stockholm

Schedule for Friday, March 3rd

- 13:30 Logic Pro 7 Music Production and Software Instruments Spokesman:Marek Andreasson / Apple - 14:30 Reason and Logic Spokesman:Kristoffer Wallman / Propellerhead Software - 16:00 Dance Music Production Stonebridge / Stockholm

So, if you're interested in either Reason or Logic free dance classes and are in the Stockholm area these days, you must definitely pay a visit to the 2007 SMC and meet the pros; after all you know how rarely they are to be "caught"...
