Microsoft infrastructure partners are now free to access and use a set of interactive tools web-based from the Redmond company and designed to improve the online experience for their customers. The Microsoft Partner Web Widgets are hosted on the new Microsoft Partner Network website and are offered completely free of charge. The collection of tools, three of which are available immediately with another three on the way, is set up to be integrated into partner websites and fuel business growth against key sales scenarios associated with Microsoft technologies for online customers. Showcasing key partner sales scenario value, on top of being free, the web tools also involve no development and zero-time-to-market. Microsoft informed that the widgets were capable of driving more leads for partners and better communicate the value of services offered.

“I am pleased to introduce a new set of interactive web tools designed specifically for our infrastructure partners. The Partner Website Widgets help improve online customer experience on our partner websites. They communicate a core set of business value related to services that our partners deliver with Microsoft technologies,” revealed Adam Bogobowicz, Sr. marketing manager, Microsoft, Windows Server Group.

Announced earlier this week, three of the tools can already be leveraged by Microsoft infrastructure partners. Bogobowicz indicated that the following Partner Website Widgets were already available: Consolidation Savings with Virtualization, Power Savings with Virtualization, and Infrastructure Savings. Another three, namely High Availability, Secure Exchange and Windows Server remote data access solution are scheduled to be offered next month.

“How do they work? These tools are hosted Microsoft Silverlight-based controls ready to be displayed on a Microsoft partner website. They require no code to be managed and installation is as simple as copy/paste the Microsoft Silverlight object tag for the tool on the partner site. Btw, no personally identifiable information is collected by Microsoft as part of the process,” Bogobowicz said.
