Updated app helps you update your Aspyr Mac games

Aspyr Media has recently released a free update to its Game Agent application for Mac. The app itself deals with updates, particularly updates for Aspyr's games for Mac. By installing the app, you get periodical notifications (users can even set the frequency at which updates are checked for) for various updates coming from Aspyr. This way you can keep every piece of Aspyr software up to date, all the time. The Game Agent is a free download.

Aspyr's free utility also allows you to easily match your computer hardware with the system requirements of Aspyr games. Game Agent automatically identifies which games will run on your system and even tell you exactly what you need to upgrade to be able to play more pretentious Aspyr games.

It also keeps track of the systems Apple is offering at any given time, allowing users to see which titles work on which systems. With Game Agent version 1.7, users will be notified automatically when patches or updates are available for Aspyr games installed on their computer. If you're used to the Software Update program that your Mac computer uses to keep itself up to date, then using Game Agent will be a breeze.

You can change the frequency at which Game Agent checks for game updates. Just follow the Settings path and then click on Game Agent Preferences. You can also check for updates on your own, at any time, by just clicking "Software Updates" on the sidebar. You don't necessarily have to update once you're notified that updates are available. You can always just ignore updates (although the app has been specifically created to combat update-ignorance).

Game Agent includes both currently shipping and upcoming releases from Aspyr. Click HERE to download the free utility software and HERE to check out dozens of Aspyr game demos for Mac.
