Google is reportedly offering its employees a treat this holiday season, nothing else than free Galaxy Nexus devices. But there’s more to it, as these devices will feature a specifically crafted battery cover, one that features Android icons all over it, and which will make the device completely different from the phone that landed in users’ hands around the world.

Galaxy Nexus smartphone flavor remain the same as those for the original device (though chances are that it would run under the new Android 4.0.2 platform release right from the start).
Google’s London and Zurich offices are already delivering the free units to employees,
