If you are a guitar player, no matter whether you are a (semi)pro or simply a guitar enthusiast and if you like music (of any kind) then I should say you have at least heard about Dream Theater, the progressive rock
legends. What has King Crimson meant some 30 years ago, Dream Theater mean today: excellence in what each instrument means and very serious devotion to music itself.

You don't necessarily have to like rock music to have the music of Dream Theater going straight to your heart: what they do is a blending between so many styles from jazz to metal, classic rock and classical themes, funk or bossa nova and so much more, all mixed in a really exceptional way.

John Petrucci graduated the Berklee music college where he also met bassist John Mying and drummer Mike Portnoy and thus formed Dream Theater. 7 world tours, 14 albums and over 6 millions of discs sold, gearing up for the next world tour and currently participating in the G3 with guitar-gods Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, this is the background of Mr. Petrucci, who started to play at the age of 12.

Now, this piece of news is for those who will be in Florida on Thursday, March 29th and are willing to attend a free seminar with master guitarist John Petrucci of Dream Theater. In a meeting organized by Ernie Ball and Music Man (Petrucci is actually a Music Man guitars endorsee), you'll be able to see John discussing on issues such as technique tips and methods, live demonstrations and a serious questions and answers session.

The free seminar will be in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) at Music Arts Enterprises, located at 3301 Davie Boulevard and its starting hour is 1:00 PM, local time. For further news, you can contact Music Arts Enterprises at (954) 581-2203 and have your questions asked.

So, if you want a free meeting with John Petrucci while he explains his work and skills and tips for your guitar experience, then Thursaday march 29th is your lucky day. I'd be there if I could but unfortunately there's some important business to be taken care of here.
