BioWare confirms that the next multiplayer add-on for Dragon Age: Inquisition, called Dragonslayer, brings quite a lot of big additions to the online experience, in the form of cooperative dragon battles, three new characters, as well as one new environment, all for free.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launched back in November of last year across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms all around the world. The role-playing experience made by BioWare consisted of not only a solid single-player story campaign but also a pretty addictive cooperative multiplayer experience that allowed up to four people to go through environments and defeat waves of foes.

BioWare has already released different expansions for the RPG, in the form of the Destruction one that arrived for the multiplayer, as well as the Jaws of Hakkon one, which added new single-player adventures.

The Dragonslayer multiplayer expansion brings many new things

Now, the studio confirms on its website that a major add-on is coming for Inquisition's multiplayer, titled Dragonslayer.

As its name suggests, the new DLC allows players to engage in cooperative dragon battles. According to the scarce details provided by BioWare, players will have to craft a special item called Dragon's Call and then test their mettle against the fierce beasts. It's unclear what materials are needed for the item.

What's more, besides the regular characters present in the multiplayer mode, three new ones are coming as part of the expansion, including Dragon Age 1 and 2's Isabela, the Raider Queen of the Eastern Seas, a dual-wielding rogue.

What's more, Zither, the mage musician revealed as an April Fools prank, is also included in the DLC, as he's actually going to appear in Inquisition. Last but not least, a fierce Avvar warrior called Skywatcher is also going to debut with the DLC.

Finally, the Dragonslayer add-on also includes one new multiplayer environment, in the form of a castle from the Ferelden region.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is going to receive the free Dragonslayer expansion on May 5. Also on that day, at 10am PST, BioWare is going to host a special live stream on Twitch to showcase the new features. Unlike Jaws of Hakkon, the add-on arrives at the same time on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
