The Redmond-based technology firm has just released a new version of its Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool to help you get rid of specific computer infections.
The updated downloadable application now comes with detection and cleaning capabilities for two new forms of malware, namely Nitol and OneScan, both of which have reportedly been found on a huge number of systems in the last few months.
You don’t have to be a tech-savvy user to successfully perform a scan with this app. There are three different scan modes, namely quick, full and customized, with the last one allowing you to select the target folder.
The program works on all Windows versions, be they 32- or 64-bit, and it doesn’t require administrator privileges to remove the found infections.
