The latest revision for Free Download Manager (FDM) is just a minor release that announces better support for the next Internet Explorer, which is to be included in Windows 8.1.

However, it is unclear when the developer introduced support for the browser, as the list of changes for this major version does not announce anything in this sense. Regardless, it may be safe to assume that the necessary steps have been taken to support downloading through the next Internet Explorer.

Microsoft has not finished working on IE 11 and the browser is currently in preview stage of development, which basically translates into a less smooth user experience that could be peppered with stability issues, as well as problems relating to functionality.

A video with IE 11 Consumer Preview in action is available, showing the key features of the application.
