As this is a release candidate version of the application, modifications are bound to be scarce. Free Download Manager 3.8 RC3 records only three changes in the log, with “general bug fixes” being a constant for the past 3 releases.

The new version sports the possibility to specify network speed in bits per second (bps) and the bandwidth allocation algorithm has been adjusted.

Release Candidate label generally means that the application is very close to a final version. It is not quite usual for an app to reach RC3 stage, but this is what happened in this case.

Free Download Manager has gone through very odd development steps. Version 3.8 has currently reached RC3 stage, but there have been some regressions to beta from RC1 development stage due to some bugs.
