Good Christmas news for AT&T's subscribers: the largest mobile operator in the US announced a series of holiday promotions that allows its customers to receive free ring tones, answer tones and a free mobile game. To get the free content, any AT&T customer can send an SMS with the word "gift" to the 7230 number and will instantly be
provided with a link from where the free tones and the free game can be downloaded.

"This time of year is traditionally one of the most popular for music and entertainment downloads," said Mark Collins, vice president of Consumer Data for AT&T's wireless unit. "AT&T is excited to offer free and festive holiday favorites for customers to enjoy throughout the season."

AT&T's subscribers will be able to get three free Christmas themed ring tones - Jingle Bells, Noche de Paz and The Dreidel Song - and three free answer tones: "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" by Cyndi Lauper, "Feliz Navidad" by Jose Feliciano and "Wizards in Winter" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The other free title that AT&T offers is Santa's Tower Bloxx, the Christmas edition of the construction puzzle game developed by Digital Chocolate.

Besides the free ring tones that AT&T offers, users can also buy from a wide selection of holiday tones, including "O, Holy Night" by Josh Groban, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, "Santa Baby" by Eartha Kitt, "Christmas Eve" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, "Merry Christmas, Baby" by Natalie Cole, "The Mistletoe Jam" by Luther Vandross and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by George Huff. Furthermore, customers can purchase Tone E-Cards that can be sent for Christmas to friends or family.

The free holiday content offering from AT&T comes to emphasize the carrier's leading role in the mobile music and entertainment industry.
