Owners of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the PlayStation 3 platform can download the Revolution DLC for the impressive shooter for free and play it over the weekend.

Call of Duty: Black Ops was released last November and, since then, developer Treyarch has launched different expansions like the recent Uprising or the upcoming Vengeance.

Now, Treyarch has revealed that the first map pack, Revolution, can be downloaded and played for free over the weekend by PS3 owners.

All they need to do is head over to the Black Ops 2 in-game store and download the expansion, and then access the dedicated multiplayer playlists in the online mode, according to Treyarch's Twitter.

Revolution brought four new competitive multiplayer maps, a new zombies scenario, and a fresh Peacekeeper SMG.

A similar promotion has already been offered to Xbox 360 owners last month. This new one lasts until June 24.
