Yesterday I wrote a material about a free anti-spyware that was Vista compatible, and now, here's any anti-virus to go with it! It's the AVG Anti-Virus Free 7.5.485a1117! Not only Vista compatible,
but works on older versions of Windows as well. You can safely download it from our site, by clicking this link.
If you do not have the available cash or do not like to invest in computers too much then I strongly advise you to download and install this program. It's AVG so it is a quality anti-virus, even tough it's open, so you may put your trust in it.
So, what do you get? Well, there are 4 very important features, but it can do even more, you may get more info about it, if you check the vendor's official website. In any case, here are the most important things you get with this anti-virus - free automatic updates, the resident shield (will scan files as opened or downloaded), the e-mail scanner (that protects your e-mail, of course) and of course the on-demand scanner which you can use to scan your machine either immediately or by schedule. In any case, these are standard issue features that any anti-virus has, just in case you thought that because it's free, you will receive less protection.
Some of you may say that they don't use the Internet that much and that they don't navigate on dangerous site, nor do they download files and that they don't need an AV. Wrong! Viruses can pop up from everywhere, as they can infect just about any file - they can come from, CDs, DVDs, Floppy Disks, e-mails, not to say anything about the rest of the web. So, having your computer protected is really important! As I've said before, it's a pity to stay insecure while free software like this exists!
