Freddie Mercury's Rolls-Royce Is Auctioned on eBay

The Freddie Mercury's 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow is being auctioned on eBay by his sister Kash, together with a man-sized box of tissues Kleenex which belonged to the singer.

According to reports, the bids for the luxury vehicle that's being sold by Kash were nearly $15,000 on Wednesday. Kash declared that she couldn't remove the Kleenex from the car after her brother died of AIDS in 1991, at age 45, because it was too hard for her.

According to BBC, the car, last seen at the 2002 London premiere of the Queen musical We Will Rock You, has a grey leather interior with wood trim, contains a car phone and a radio cassette player.

On November 23, 1991, Freddie announced that he had AIDS. The next day he died peacefully at his home in London, surrounded by friends and family. Freddie had kept his illness very private, and only those closest to him had been aware of just how close to the end he was.

Mercury was cremated at Kensal Green Cemetery. The whereabouts of his ashes are unknown. The remaining members of Queen founded The Mercury Phoenix Trust and organized The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.
