Fraps received an update over the weekend, incrementing the version number to 3.5.6. The new release aims at making better certain aspects of the application and, as such no new features are available, only repairs and improvements

Although the list of modifications is quite short the changes touch on important aspects, such as fixing up the problem with the microphone drifting out of sync in the case of long recordings, on Windows 7.

Also repaired is the clipping with audio sources greater than eight channels. On the same note, the issue with audio from mono USB devices appearing only in the left channel should no longer give you trouble.

Last on the list of refinements in Fraps 3.5.6 is reducing the capture lag when external inputs are used.
