Many years after “Sin City,” Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are returning to the universe they created: the sequel “Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is now in production. A release date has also been announced.

On October 4, 2013, the sequel arrived in theaters in 3D, a press release issued to Slash Film notes.

“Casting is underway, with original cast members returning to work with directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, from their script co-written by Academy Award winner William Monahan. Academy Award nominee Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba are already confirmed to return,” the statement also says.

The remaining of the cast will be announced shortly, as their contracts are signed. Details on the plot won't be revealed anytime soon.

The same release also mentions that, besides regulars, fans are also to expect “some huge names” to make appearances, in new roles.
