The Catalans will trade Deco + another 35 million Euros

Barcelona is looking for a few more extraterrestrial players for the next season. And, considering the fact that Spain's La Liga doesn't seem to satisfy the Catalan officials in terms of future transfers, they started looking in the UK; and not just anywhere in the Premiership, but in their European rival's yard, Chelsea. The last name said to be joining Frank Rijkaard's team this summer is midfielder Frank Lampard.

After making himself known all over Europe during the Abramovic era at Chelsea, the footballer seems very much interested in changing London for Barcelona. And, even if you might find it funny at the beginning, his move to Catalunya is very close to being finalized. Portuguese playmaker Deco is already set to joining Mourinho's side on Stanford Bridge, as Barca's trade for Lampard. Known to be one of the Portuguese's favorite players - Mourinho said that he is very sorry of being unable to take Deco with him to Chelsea after leaving FC Porto - the native Brazilian might play in the Premiership next year.

Moreover, the Catalans will offer, according to "The Sun" newspaper, another 35 million Euros for transferring Lampard. After seeing Chelsea "steal" Michael Ballack this summer from Bayern Munich - so he could be a perfect replacement in case Frank will leave "the Blues" - Frank Rijkaard managed to convince his boss, Juan Laporta, to start the bidding.

The information about Frank Lampard's leaving the Blues was released today, after Jorge Mendes - who is both Jose Mourinho and Deco's agent - and some other Barcelona officials, arrived in London to talk to Peter Kenyon. Under the false pretext of trying to transfer Iceland's Eidur Gudjohnson to Camp Nou, the Catalans started the bidding on the English midfielder.

The total estimate of the transaction would rise to the value of 50 million Euros, and would most likely take place after the FIFA World Cup this summer. Nevertheless, if England manages to reach higher stages in the competition - with Lampard, of course, leading the way - his price will most likely grow. For now, though, neither Peter Kenyon, nor Juan Laporta have issued any statements regarding this subject.
