Sony Mobile France has officially confirmed on Facebook that the newly unveiled Xperia Z smartphone will be released in the country at the end of February, while also unveiling that Xperia ZL will not be launched in this country.

Both Xperia Z and Xperia ZL were made official at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, with similar hardware specifications but different outer designs, while being targeted at different markets around the world.

The two handsets arrive on shelves with a 5-inch full HD display, a quad-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back with support for full HD video recording, and front camera for making video calls.

Their specs list also shows WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with built-in GPS receiver, NFC connectivity, and Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
