Today, Fractal Audio has made available a new firmware package developed for Axe-Fx II XL, Axe-Fx II Mark I and Mark II preamplifiers, namely version 16.02, which fixes several Citrus Terrier amp model issues, as well as the Global menu Reverb Mix display problem.

In addition to that, the present update improves the Amp block output transformer through more accurate simulation effect algorithms, and enhances the Compressor block via fresh dynamics processing algorithm (and also renames it to Comp/Dynmc).

If version 16.02 is applied, no oscillating Angle Severe models will be encountered and the Spkr Drive parameter will be moved to Amp block’s Advanced menu page. Also, the Low Cut Freq issue will be resolved, and the Amp model will benefit from a new “Class-A 30W Hot” option.

Moreover, Fractal’s latest update adds the Slope parameter to the SPKR page, Dynamics and AC voltage controls to amp block, “Classic” and “Intelligent” options to Noise Gate, ducking to Reverb block, as well as several other improvements to the compatible devices.

When it comes to installing the present release, first apply the latest Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II USB Driver (if not already present on your computer), download the proper package for your device, and afterwards use the most recent Fractal-Bot Utility to apply the new firmware.

That being said, download Fractal Axe-Fx II Firmware 16.02 for the appropriate preamp, apply the new software, and enjoy your newly improved audio effects processor. Also, check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
