Last year, in December, singer Foxy Brown announced that she hadn't heard anything in almost six months and that, when in the recording studio, someone had to tap the beat on her shoulder and cue her when to sing.
Almost three months ago, Brown underwent surgery to correct the sensorineural hearing loss in both ears and is now on her way to a complete recovery. The black artist announced MTV News that she has often wondered why such a thing could happen to her, a performer for more than ten years, and that doctors were very little optimistic about the outcome of the operation.
Yesterday, the medical staff and Foxy stated that the surgery was a complete success and that the artist is heading right into the studio to prepare for a new album. She had her first live performance in a year, on occasion of Jay Z's celebration of his first debut album, 'Reasonable Doubt', a couple of days ago.
Foxy will also start touring again on July 18 and the release date for the new material has been scheduled for around Christmas Eve.
