Throughout 2010, especially during the first two quarters, Foxconn was plagued by what could be seen as wave of suicides, and it seems that similar things have started to happen, as another fatal fall happened at the end of the first week of January.

Last year, deaths happened in a fairly quick succession at Foxconn's plants, many of them at the same facility.

These suicides usually came in the form of people jumping to their deaths from windows or other high sections of the Shenzen, China facility, the alleged reasons cited being physical and emotional exhaustion, as well as low pay.

Eventually, the company decided to offer a pay rise and relocate workers closer to their actual homes.

It also decided to hire more mature workers, but these measures don't seem to have worked as well as it was originally hoped.

As Digitmes says in a recent report, the 'crisis over employee emotional welfare' is back, though suicides are no longer the only trouble.

Recently, 'a large conflict' broke out at the facility in Chengdu, China, something akin to a brawl most likely, leaving two employees injured.

The main factor blamed for this event is the Lunar New Year holiday season and the fact that, as they prepare to return home, employees become more emotional.

Coupled with the size of Foxconn's plants, conflicts can happen all the more easily.

The other one of the main two events that the leadership of Hon Hai Precision Industry needs to cope with is the woman that fell to her death on January 7, again in Shenzen, China.

Foxconn is said to have already paid condolences to the woman's family and offered its assistance, although one can only wonder why such things keep happening.

Finally, the company mentioned that neither incident was related to work, so both plants are working normally.
