Foxconn, one of the leading manufacturers of computer motherboards and graphics cards, is expected to introduce a new mainboard, as part of the company's line of Quantum Force motherboards. The upcoming board hasn't yet been officially announced, but it has been spotted on the Internet on a number of forums and websites. It is a Blood Rage variant and has been dubbed the Blood RAGE GTI Edition.

According to the available specifications, the Blood RAGE GTI Edition is basically the same as the company's initial Bloodrage model, only that it is said to be a cut-down version, lacking some of the features. We do have to wait for the official release of the board but, according to the available details, it may appear that Foxconn's Blood RAGE GTI will likely be missing SAS support and the interchangeable northbridge block, which will be replaced by a cheaper standard heatsink solution.

Aside from that, according to the details on Donanim Haber, the Blood RAGE GTI will be based on Intel's high-performance X58 and ICH10R chipset combo, offering support for the highest-performance consumer processors on the market, the socket LGA 1366-ready Core i7 and Core i7 Extreme. As with most of the other X58-enabled boards, this one is also going to provide support for up to 12GB of DDR3 memory (although that is yet to be confirmed) and provide 6 SATA, 2 eSATA, 12 USB 2.0, 2 IEEE 1394a and one PATA connector. On the graphics side, the board is ready to support both ATI's CrossFireX and NVIDIA's SLI multi-GPU technology, offering 4 PCIe 2.0 x16 slots.

Additional features include a SONAR X-FI audio card featuring Creative X-FI technology and while we don't have any details on pricing and availability yet, we must say that Foxconn is readying a rather impressive motherboard, especially if you are looking to build a high-performance desktop computer rig.
