Taiwan’s Foxconn manufacturer has just pushed out a series of devices, which will become available for customers through the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, reports DigiTimes.

The company unveiled a series of 7-inch tablets bundled up with sharing devices which allows the wireless streaming of video content from others smartphones, tablets, notebooks and such to LCD TVs. The duo will be selling for the very affordable price of $235 / €174.

With such a price tag, the slate is of course a mid-range one and its specifications include a 7-inch IPS screen featuring a resolution of 1280 x 800. Power comes from an ARM quad-core processor developed by Marvell coupled with 1GB RAM.

The provided internal memory is set at 16GB. Two cameras are offered, a 5-megapixel rear one and 2-megapixel front one. The slate seems to be light enough and easy to handle, as it weighs only 310 g / 0.68 lbs.

7-Eleven hopes to increase its grab of Taiwanese market share and reach 5% by selling 3,000 tablets a month. It also hopes to continue to work with Foxconn and produce another 5-10 devices.
