Sharp may get the banks on its side, no longer needing Foxconn's help

Sharp hasn't been doing very well financially, which is why it has been hunting for investments and the help of banks.

Samsung is one of those that has invested in it so far, though its money is not to be used for IGZO displays. Qualcomm also made an investment a while ago.

Foxconn was going to become the third, but it and Sharp haven't been able to reach an agreement yet.

They were supposed to reach a conclusion before the end of March, but this isn't likely anymore, because Sharp might manage to get the banks on its side.

If it manages to get loans, it will be able to rise from its current situation without giving a stake in its company to yet another one. A more attractive prospect if there ever was one.
