Chinese media outlets report that Foxconn Technology Group is building a new facility in East China's Jiangsu province, Huai’an city. Covering 40,000 square meters, the facility is to employ almost just as many workers for the production of unnamed Apple gadgets.

Citing the office of Taiwan Affairs of Huai'an city, China Daily reports that Foxconn Technology Group’s plant “will produce components for American multinational corporation, Apple Inc.”

35,800 people are to be working on the Apple production line, says the report. The annual output value of the plant is expected to reach 6 to 7 billion yuan, or roughly 1 billion dollars.

The report mentions that Foxconn announced plans to build a top-notch manufacturing base in Hainan, China's southernmost island province, in early April.
