Celebrities are going to the Olympics. Well, that may not be exactly the case, but it’s the closest they’re ever going to get to the sporting event: Fox has announced the full cast of its upcoming special “Stars in Danger.”

It will see a wide array of celebrities, many of them reality stars, pitted against each other in an Olympic-style diving competition, The Hollywood Reporter informs.

“[Fox’s] two-hour special Stars in Danger: The High Dive will bow Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. and feature eight celebrities, including Jersey Shore's Jwoww, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills siblings Kim and Kyle Richards, former NFL pro Terrell Owens and Antonio Sabato Jr., among others,” THR says.

JWoww is perhaps best known thanks to her involvement in MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and its spinoff, but she’s also gotten a fair share of media attention for her workout routine and diet, so being in excellent physical shape should help her out this time.

Antonio Sabato Jr. is perhaps known for his many soap opera roles, back in the day when he was quite a heartthrob.

Also included in the competition are author and surfer (who lost one arm in a shark attack) Bethany Hamilton, Alexandra Paul and David Chokachi.

“Based on the long-running German format, High Dive will see contestants take a crash-course in diving techniques overseen by renowned diving coaches and then compete in a series of Olympic-style dives including high diving, synchronized dives and more from a variety of heights,” THR says.

“Olympic diving medalist Troy Dumais will assist the eight as they face off in the special, from Bunim/Murray Productions (The Real World),” adds the same media outlet.

ABC is also preparing a similar TV special, which even bears a resemblance in name to “Stars in Danger: The High Dive”: “Celebrity Diving.”
