The animal simply grabbed the iPhone, made a quick getaway into the woods

A 16-year-old from Norway learned the hard way that folktales about foxes and their wits might in fact be based on true facts.

This is because Lars Andreas Bjercke had his iPhone stolen by a representative of this species, who simply grabbed it and then made a quick getaway into the woods.

In all fairness, nobody can blame the fox for choosing to take advantage of the opportunity this teen presented it with.

Sources report that Andreas and some of his friends wished to see if they could make the animal approach them by using an app to play the sounds made by a dying rabbit.

After installing the app, the teen simply placed his iPhone on the ground and waited to see what would happen next. He now knows that this was a very bad idea.

In an attempt to retrieve his gadget, Andreas called his own number. The fox answered his call, but refused to say anything.

A few hours after his failing to establish verbal contact with the fox, Andreas received the following text from the animal:

“Jlv In ø \ a0ab 34348tu åaugjoi zølbmosdji jsøg ijio sjiw.” Investigators are still trying to figure out what this text means.
