It might not seem like that long, but Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine for over a decade, including major parts and (more or less) surprise appearances. Fox is determined to keep him on board for at least another few years, according to a new report.

The movie studio has offered the star a cool $100 million (€75.5 million) to play the clawed mutant in another 4 motion pictures, in which he’d be lead, a tab report cited by Cinema Blend claims.

Because that would mean being tied to the character for at least another 5 years, Hugh is understandably hesitant in accepting the offer.

“It’s not every day an actor gets offered this kind of paycheck, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multipicture deals after X-Men. He hasn’t given any kind of answer yet, so at least he’s considering it,” says a “pal.”

If you haven’t been keeping count, Jackman’s Wolverine was featured, in chronological order, in: “X-Men,” “X2,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” “X-Men: First Class,” this year’s “The Wolverine” and the yet-to-be-released “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
